WHAT IS IN THIS ZIP
  Exam_Seating_Arrangement.xlsx Microsoft Excel version
  Exam_Seating_Arrangement.ods LibreOffice Calc version
Both files are identical. Open whichever suits you.

WHAT IT DOES
Works out room-wise exam seating for standards 5 to 10, covering up to
6 divisions and 3 languages. You enter class strength; it produces roll
number ranges and a printable room-wise chart.

HOW TO USE
  1. Setup sheet School name, exam name, seats per room, language codes.
  2. Input sheet Type boys and girls counts in the yellow cells only.
  3. Report sheet Print it. Already set to landscape, fit to page width.
  4. Summary sheet Shows rooms needed and warns if a limit is crossed.

Sample data is filled in. Overwrite it with your school figures.

HOW ROLL NUMBERS ARE ASSIGNED
Within each division: boys first (language 1, 2, 3), then girls in the
same language order. If your register numbers differently, reorder the
language codes on the Setup sheet.

HOW ROOMS ARE FILLED
Boys and girls form two separate queues. Room 1 takes the first 10 boys
and first 10 girls, room 2 the next 10 and 10, and so on, so every room
stays balanced. Change the per-room figures on the Setup sheet to suit
  your room size.

LICENCE
Free to use and share, including in government and aided schools.
No warranty. Check the generated chart before the examination.
